Best known as co-host of ABC’s The Chew and for competing on Bravo’s Top Chef, Carla believes food connects us all, something she strives to communicate through her work, her cooking and her daily interactions.
A Nashville native, Carla grew up surrounded by soul food. Her latest cookbook, Carla Hall’s Soul Food: Everyday and Celebration, will be released in October. She’s also the author of Carla’s Comfort Food and Cooking with Love.
Carla is the Culinary Ambassador for Sweet Home Cafe at the Smithsonian National Museum for African American History and Culture in Washington, DC, where she brings attention to the history of the food that has inspired the café. Carla lives in D.C. with her husband, Matthew Lyons.
